The full qualifying order has been revealed for the 106th running of the Indy 500, and Pato O’Ward is set to lead things off.

Following the Fast Friday practice session for the 106th running of the Indy 500, the full qualifying order for the race was randomly drawn.

Each of the 33 drivers on the entry list for this 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval in Speedway, Indiana is set to make a four-lap qualifying attempt on Saturday.

A full qualifying format can be found here.

Additional attempts are allowed afterward, with two lanes open: one priority lane in which a driver must give up his previous time to go to the front of the line, and one regular lane in which a driver does not need to give up his previous time but must wait until the priority lane clears.

The fastest 12 drivers from Saturday’s qualifying session advance to the first of two Sunday qualifying sessions, known as Top 12 Qualifying; there is no more Fast Nine Shootout.

The top six drivers in Top 12 Qualifying then advance to the Firestone Fast Six, which is the new shootout for the pole position.

Set to lead things off tomorrow afternoon is Arrow McLaren SP’s Pato O’Ward, followed by Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay.
