Keep tabs on Saturday night’s qualifying session for Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600, the longest race on the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series schedule.

Following last Sunday’s NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway, the regular qualifying format is set to make a return ahead of this Sunday night’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Drivers are split up into two groups based on the results of the most recent points race at Kansas Speedway two Sundays ago. The order of each group is determined by the qualifying formula.

In this single-car qualifying session, each driver is set to make a single-lap run around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Concord, North Carolina.

The fastest five drivers from each of the two groups advance to the second round, where they each make another single-lap qualifying attempt. The fastest driver in this group of 10 takes the pole position, and the rest of the top 10 is set. The remainder of the starting lineup is set based on round one qualifying speeds, irrespective of group number.

Follow along with our live qualifying updates for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
