This coming Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway starts a stretch of races that are not on Fox.

The majority of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season’s first 10 races, plus the preseason exhibition race at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, have been broadcast live on Fox.

Aside from the Bluegreen Vacations Duel qualifying races for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, only two races have been broadcast live on Fox Sports 1.

Both of those races were relatively recent races, and both were short track races. The races at Richmond Raceway (Sunday, April 2) and Martinsville Speedway (Sunday, April 16) were both broadcast live on Fox Sports 1 as opposed to regular Fox.

This coming Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway also won’t be on Fox.

Fox Sports 1 is set to broadcast the 400-lap Wurth 400 live from the four-turn, 1-mile (1.609-kilometer) high-banked Dover, Delaware oval beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET this Sunday, April 30, a change from 2:00 p.m. ET.

Make note of the fact that this race is now set to start two hours earlier than most of the recent 3:00 p.m. ET races, though that could still change again depending on the weather. The forecast is currently not all that promising, with more than a 90% chance for rain, according to The Weather Channel.

Update: Dover race postponed to Monday at 12:00 p.m. ET.

The Wurth 400 begins a stretch of races on Fox Sports 1, as no more races are set to be broadcast on Fox until the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 28 beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Of course, the usual Fox broadcast team is set to call the race, with Mike Joy serving as the lead announcer alongside analyst Clint Bowyer. Rusty Wallace is this week’s guest analyst, replacing Tony Stewart, who made his sixth appearance of the season at Talladega Superspeedway last Sunday afternoon.
