Kayla Gipson

Hello, I'm Kayla Gipson.Growing up I wasn't really into sports. I just didn't really have an interest with any type of sport. In September of 2014, everything changed. I was doing research on a project for one of my classes and I stumbled upon a recap of a NASCAR race. I was so interested as to what NASCAR was just by a short article that recapped the Chicagoland race. I decied to watch the next race at New Hampshire and after the first three laps, I was hooked. Since I have been a fan of NASCAR for only three years. My hope is my pieces on Beyond the Flag will give life long NASCAR fans an idea what a new fan sees in NASCAR and a perspective that they probably didn't have a chance to experience since they probably grew up watching NASCAR and didn't think too much about it.Little bit about my self. I was born and raised in a small city in southern New Mexico. I'm the oldest out of four girls. I have two dogs and two cats. When I'm not watching NASCAR or writing, I'm working as a Cashier. I was the Official Fan Reporter (OFR) for Greg Biffle on NASCARFemale.com for two seasons. In my free time I like read, my favorite genre is Historical fiction, especially from the Civil War Era.If you like to know me more I'm on Twitter. So send me a tweet, I'll be more than happy to chat with you! Or even tell me what you think of my pieces. Talk to you soon. -Kayla Gipson :)
