After comments he made on a livestream about Team Penske IndyCar driver David Malukas predictably went viral, Kaulig Racing NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Daniel Dye was quickly suspended indefinitely by both NASCAR and his race team. He was required to complete sensitivity training before being reinstated.

The 22-year-old DeLand, Florida native has completed this training and been reinstated by NASCAR. However, he and Kaulig Racing have cut ties, he announced in a statement.

The separation was termed a resignation, with Dye confirming that he is "stepping away" from his role as the driver of the No. 10 Ram.

After competing full-time for Matt Kaulig's Xfinity Series (O'Reilly Auto Parts Series) team in 2025, Dye was moved to the Truck Series as a part of the organization's new partnership with Ram. He was one of four full-time drivers in the team's lineup, with the other three being Justin Haley, Brenden Queen, and Mini Tyrrell.

Dye previously competed full-time in the Truck Series in 2023 and 2024 with GMS Racing and McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, respectively. Prior to his suspension, he had also competed in three O'Reilly Series races for AM Racing earlier this year.

Corey LaJoie is set to replace Dye behind the wheel of the No. 10 truck for the remainder of the 25-race 2026 season. LaJoie made one start earlier this season at Daytona International Speedway for Henderson Motorsports, and he made another one in the series' most recent race at Darlington Raceway for Kaulig Racing in their No. 25 "free agent" truck.

Full-time Cup Series driver A.J. Allmendinger replaced Dye in the No. 10 entry at Darlington. With LaJoie set to be in the No. 10 truck this weekend at Rockingham Speedway and beyond, Ty Dillon is set to drive the No. 25 entry.

Friday's Craftsman Truck Series race at "The Rock" is set to be shown live on Fox Sports 1 beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET. Begin a free trial of FuboTV now and catch all of the action from the Black's Tire 200!
