One of the major perks of IndyCar's TV deal with Fox Sports, which went into effect ahead of the 2025 season, was that all races would be shown live on Fox, rather than a split between Fox and Fox Sports 1.
However, bad weather caused Saturday's Snap-on Makers and Fixers 250 at the Milwaukee Mile to be delayed, and then shortly after it got underway, more rain caused it to be paused and ultimately suspended, with the resumption scheduled to take place on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. ET.
As a result of the postponement, the race will no longer be shown live on Fox.
IndyCar race moved to Fox Sports 1 due to postponement
Fox Sports 1 is set to broadcast the remaining 160 laps of the 250-lap race around the four-turn, 1.015-mile (1.633-kilometer) West Allis, Wisconsin oval.
Arrow McLaren's Pato O'Ward, who started on pole, is the race leader, followed by Meyer Shank Racing's Felix Rosenqvist. There was a lengthy yellow flag period before the red flag ultimately flew due to rain, and several drivers took the opportunity to pit under caution. There are 19 drivers on the lead lap.
Plans have not changed for Sunday afternoon's second race of the doubleheader, the 250-lap Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250. That race is still set to be shown live on Fox beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET, with Chip Ganassi Racing's Alex Palou on pole alongside O'Ward.
It marks the first time since 2014 that IndyCar is in line to run two races in a day. That July, the first race of a doubleheader on the streets of Toronto was postponed from Saturday to Sunday, and the originally scheduled Sunday race was run shortly thereafter.
