New Hampshire Motor Speedway, after going back to the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs for the first time since 2017 in 2025, is back on the regular season calendar in 2026. The Dollar Tree 301 is the penultimate race on the 26-race regular season schedule.

The qualifying format for Sunday's 301-lap race around the four-turn, 1.058-mile (1.703-kilometer) "Magic Mile" oval in Loudon, New Hampshire is set to utilize the traditional intermediate track format.

While New Hampshire is generally considered a one-mile oval, it is indeed 1.058 miles in length, meaning that each driver is set to get just one qualifying lap, rather than the two they'd be allowed on a short track.

Unlike on superspeedways, there is set to be just one round of qualifying in Saturday's single-car session. The full order was determined by the qualifying metric, which factors in each car's position in the owner standings and its result in the most recent races.
