Due to yet another rainout, the seventh of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season on an oval, it was Hendrick Motorsports' Kyle Larson who took the pole position for Saturday night's Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Larson was awarded the pole position for this 500-lap race around the four-turn, 0.533-mile (0.858-kilometer) Bristol, Tennessee oval due to the qualifying metric, which is based on the owner standings (30%) and the results of the most recent race (70%).
Larson's No. 5 team is second in the owner standings, and he won the most recent race at Gateway. The second-best metric score belongs to Team Penske's Joey Logano, whose No. 22 team is tied for sixth in the owner standings following a third place finish at Gateway. Logano is set to join Larson on the front row.
Here's a look at the full starting lineup for Saturday's Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol. Note that pre-race penalties are not factored into the chart below, and note that, unlike in what would have been the qualifying order had qualifying not been canceled, the non-playoff drivers are lumped in with the 16 championship contenders.
