On the same day that it was announced that Dawson Sutton would be moving to Tricon Garage for the 2027 NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series season, it was announced that his current team would not compete beyond this weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Sutton, who is set to take over behind the wheel of the No. 5 Toyota that is currently shared by multiple drivers, currently drives the No. 26 Chevrolet for Rackley WAR.
But Rackley WAR have decided to close up shop and will not compete in either one of the season's final two races at Martinsville Speedway or Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The announcement came on Friday morning.

Rackley WAR out of NASCAR with immediate effect
Rackley WAR debuted in the 2021 season opener with Timothy Peters at Daytona International Speedway and had run every race since, occasionally with multiple trucks. They won the October 2022 race at Talladega with Matt DiBenedetto behind the wheel of their original No. 25 truck.
The decision to shut down after this weekend's Talladega race, in which Sutton placed 18th, might also be among the reasons for why Toni Breidinger was not entered.
Breidinger had initially been lined up to compete in that race behind the team's second entry, the No. 27 Chevrolet. She made a total of five appearances in that entry this year, plus one in Sutton's No. 26 Chevrolet when Sutton had another racing commitment.
As for Sutton, he has no plans to compete in either one of the season's final two races. Since making his Truck Series debut as a part-time driver with Rackley WAR in 2024, he has never competed for another team. He finished fifth at Kansas Speedway in only his third career start and bettered that effort with a fourth place finish at Talladega in 2025. His best finish of 2026 is a seventh place result at Bristol Motor Speedway. He is 18th in the point standings.
Sutton effectively became a full-time driver in late 2024, when he replaced Ty Dillon. DiBenedetto ran full-time for the team in 2022 before being dropped with three races left in 2023.
