Prior to his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start with Team Reaume at Nashville Superspeedway in late May, Derek Lemke had not competed in the series since 2023, when he made his NASCAR national series debut at Richmond Raceway for Reaume Brothers Racing and later added another start at the Milwaukee Mile that same year.
Lemke, the husband of fellow part-time NASCAR driver Natalie Decker, returned to the Truck Series two weekends ago at Richmond Raceway, but one week before that race, he also made his O'Reilly Auto Parts Series debut, finishing 26th at Iowa Speedway for DGM Racing with Jesse Iwuji Motorsports.
The 32-year-old Shakopee, Minnesota, native does not currently have any additional starts lined up for the 2026 season and will not return for a second O'Reilly Series race this weekend at Daytona International Speedway.
Derek Lemke replacement confirmed for Daytona
Set to replace him behind the wheel of the No. 91 Chevrolet this weekend is the driver who has been the primary driver of that entry (11 starts) throughout the 2026 season thus far, and that is Mason Maggio.
Maggio did compete at Iowa, but in the team's second car. His top finish of the year thus far is his 11th place finish at EchoPark Speedway (Atlanta Motor Speedway), and his only other top 20 result is his 17th place finish at Talladega Superspeedway, another drafting track.
Despite his DNF at Daytona to start the season, Friday night's race should provide him with one of his best opportunities of the year to run well. He finished 15th in the regular season finale at the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Daytona Beach, Florida oval a year ago, which was good for his best career result at the time.
Beyond this weekend, the only race confirmed on Maggio's schedule for the nine-race postseason is the late October race at Talladega. The team have yet to confirm the No. 91 car's driver for any of the other eight playoff events.
