In the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular season finale at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Rackley WAR opted to have Toni Breidinger run the truck that Dawson Sutton had run full-time up to that point in the year, while Sutton was shifted to the part-time entry.
The decision was made in the hopes of Breidinger avoiding another DNQ, given the fact that she could fall back on owner points in Sutton's No. 26 Chevrolet. The goal was for Sutton to qualify the No. 27 Chevrolet on speed, but an issue in practice prevented him from making a qualifying attempt.
Breidinger did indeed end up qualifying via one of the owner points provisional spots, but because Sutton didn't turn a qualifying lap, the team made the understandable decision to replace Breidinger with their full-time driver behind the wheel of the No. 26 truck anyway.
Toni Breidinger not returning at Bristol
This weekend, there is no creative qualifying strategy at Rackley WAR. Sutton is set to be back behind the wheel of the No. 26 Chevrolet at Bristol Motor Speedway, where he registered a season-high seventh place finish back in April. He is 18th in the championship standings heading into the seven-race postseason, although he did not qualify for the playoffs.
Breidinger is set to return to the team, as of now in the No. 27 Chevrolet, at Talladega Superspeedway in late October. But first, she is set to run the mid-October race at Phoenix Raceway for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing.
Aside from her New Hampshire appearance, she has three DNQs, two with Rackley WAR and one with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, this year. All three of her starts have come in the No. 27 truck, and her top finish is 18th at Texas Motor Speedway, which matched her best finish from all of 2025, when she ran full-time for Tricon Garage.
