While the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season ended on Labor Day Weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, it ended with silly season still far from over, with seven seats in next year's 25-car full-time grid still up for grabs.
The first of those seven seats is no longer available, as A.J. Foyt Enterprises made the surprise announcement that Dennis Hauger, who won Rookie of the Year honors with Dale Coyne Racing, is set to replace Santino Ferrucci, after Ferrucci spent four years behind the wheel of the No. 14 Chevrolet.
The move leaves six vacancies at four different teams, including two teams that still have both of their seats to fill for next year.
Here's how the 2027 driver lineup looks, heading into the third week of the offseason.

Just 13 of the drivers confirmed in this lineup are set to be back in the same cars they drove throughout the 2026 season. Driver changes confirmed thus far, aside from Hauger replacing Ferrucci, include Arrow McLaren signing Felix Rosenqvist from Meyer Shank Racing to replace Nolan Siegel, as well as Scott Dixon from Chip Ganassi Racing to replace Christian Lundgaard.
Meyer Shank Racing have signed Mick Schumacher from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing to replace Rosenqvist, although it's Marcus Armstrong who is set to shift to the car the Indy 500 winner drove. Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing have also downsized from three cars to two and sold a charter to Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, and it's Conor Daly who is set to compete for the latter.
There is still plenty of time for these four teams to solidify their lineups for next year, with the 2027 IndyCar season not scheduled to begin until Sunday, March 7 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg from the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. All races on the 2027 schedule, which has yet to be fully solidified, are set to be shown live on Fox.
