Circuit Zandvoort returned to the Formula 1 calendar for the first time since 1985 in 2021, but after 2026, there are no plans for another Dutch Grand Prix at any point in the near future.

All five races contested at the 14-turn, 2.642-mile (4.252-kilometer) road course in Zandvoort, Netherlands since 2021 have been won from the pole position, and qualifying has been particularly crucial in 2026 under the new regulations.

Eigth of the 11 Grands Prix have been won from pole, with the three won from the front row, although there has been some parity at the front as of late, with five different race winners in the five most recent races.

Zandvoort also hosted its first sprint race earlier on Saturday, and that race was won by Mercedes’ George Russell from pole. Of the five sprint races contested so far in 2026, all five have been won from the front row, with four won from pole.

Qualifying has always proven crucial at Zandvoort, and it figures to be important yet again. Follow along with our live qualifying updates from Circuit Zandvoort.
