Which teams rank where in the team road and street course power rankings after the first race of the 2018 IndyCar season in St. Petersburg?

Due to the fact that there has been just one IndyCar race so far this season since the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg was the 2018 season opener, these IndyCar Team Road and Street Course Power Rankings mirror the overall IndyCar Team Power Rankings given the nature of the formula used to calculate both sets of rankings.

The 110-lap Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg around the 14-turn, 1.8-mile temporary street circuit in St. Petersburg, Florida was a chaotic race that featured an exciting but controversial finish, which led to Sebastien Bourdais winning the race for the second consecutive season in his #18 Dale Coyne Racing Honda.

The second race of the IndyCar season is an oval race at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona, and that race is set to take place on Saturday, April 7th, which is in just under four weeks. As a result, IndyCar Team Oval Power Rankings are set to be computed after that race as opposed to IndyCar Team Road and Street Course Power Rankings.

More from IndyCar

Because of the fact that this particular race is an oval race, there is an extremely high likelihood that the IndyCar Road and Street Course Team Power Rankings will no longer mirror the overall IndyCar Team Power Rankings once that race is complete since these rankings will not change at that time, while the overall rankings will be affected and the IndyCar Team Oval Power Rankings are set to make their 2018 season debut.

Regardless of what happens in that race, the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is the only race after which the overall IndyCar Team Power Rankings are guaranteed to be the exact same as either the IndyCar Team Road and Street Course Power Rankings or the IndyCar Team Oval Power Rankings this season.

Because of the fact that the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg was a street course race, the overall IndyCar Team Power Rankings are the exact same as the IndyCar Team Road and Street Course Power Rankings after this particular race.

That said, here is the 2018 season debut of the IndyCar Team Road and Street Course Power Rankings following the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.
