Three of the 11 road and street course races on the 2018 IndyCar schedule have been completed. Here are the rankings of the 10 full-time teams thus far.

Through three road or street course races so far in the 2018 IndyCar season, three different drivers representing three different teams have gone to victory lane.

By winning the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama, Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden joined Dale Coyne Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais, who won the season opener in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi, who won in Long Beach, California, as the drivers who have won a road or street course race so far this season.

While Newgarden has had success for Team Penske with three top 7 finishes, including a win, in road or street course races, the same has not been the case for his teammates on a regular basis, or really for any other Chevrolet drivers.

Through three road and street course races, 16 of the 18 top 6 positions have been occupied by Honda drivers, with Newgarden’s win being one of the two top 6 finishes by Chevrolet drivers. The other was a 2nd place finish by his teammate Will Power in Long Beach. Newgarden’s other two finishes in these races were both 7th place efforts, so he has still be at the front quite regularly..
