IndyCar: Team Oval Power Rankings after 2018 DXC Technology 600

With three of the oval races in the 2018 IndyCar season now in the books, how do the sport’s 10 full-time teams stack up against one another?
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon won the third oval race, the DXC Technology 600, of the 2018 IndyCar season at Texas Motor Speedway. Upon the completion of this race, just three oval races remain on the 2018 schedule, meaning the oval racing portion of the season is now exactly halfway over.
By winning the 248-lap race around the high banks of the four-turn, 1.44-mile Texas Motor Speedway oval in Fort Worth, Texas in his #9 Honda, Dixon made Chip Ganassi Racing just the second different team to win an oval race so far this season.
Up until this point, only Team Penske had been victorious an oval race in the 2018 season. Josef Newgarden won the first oval race of the season at ISM Raceway in his #1 Chevrolet for the team, and Will Power won the second oval race of the season, the Indianapolis 500, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in his #12 Chevrolet for the team.

While five Honda drivers representing three different teams took five of the top six positions in the race at ISM Raceway and three Honda drivers representing two different teams took three of the top five positions in the Indy 500, they had yet to deliver a victory to a Honda team in 2018.
Dixon changed that by winning at Texas Motor Speedway, and Honda teams as a whole ended up dominating the race. Only one Chevrolet driver finished the race in the top nine, and the eight Honda drivers who finished in the top nine were representing five different teams. In fact, no Honda team did not have at least one driver finish in the top eight in the race.
