The penultimate race of the 2018 IndyCar season is the Grand Prix of Portland, and it is scheduled to take place this Sunday. Here is the entry list for that race.

Heading into the Grand Prix of Portland, just two races remain on the 17-race 2018 IndyCar schedule. The penultimate race of the season is scheduled to take place this Sunday, September 2 at Portland International Raceway.

The Grand Prix of Portland is scheduled to be a 105-lap race around the 12-turn, 1.967-mile (3.166-kilometer) Portland International Raceway road course in Portland, Oregon.

A total of 25 drivers are on the entry list for this race, which is the second highest total of drivers on an entry list for a race this season.

One driver, the driver of the #6 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda that was previously driven full-time by Robert Wickens before he suffered injuries in a crash during the ABC Supply 500 that sidelined him for the remainder of the 2018 season, has still not yet been determined.

The only race that has featured more than 24 drivers so far this season is the Indianapolis 500, which is traditionally composed of 33 drivers and featured 33 drivers again this year.

The most recent non-Indy 500 race that featured at least 25 drivers took place back in May of 2016. This race, the Grand Prix of Indianapolis, took place on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway interior road course and featured 25 drivers.

Coming off of Bommarito Automotive Group 500, which featured a season-low total of 21 drivers, the fact that a total of 25 drivers are on the entry list for the Grand Prix of Portland should give IndyCar some solid momentum to close out the 2018 season and head into the offseason even with one race still remaining on this year’s schedule.

In addition to the 18 full-time drivers, of whom only James Hinchcliffe has not driven in every races so far this season since he attempted but failed to qualify for the Indianapolis 500, seven part-time drivers are on the entry list for this Sunday’s race.

However, as referenced above, it is not yet known who one of them will be. All six of the confirmed part-time drivers who are set to compete in the race have driven in at least one IndyCar race so far in 2018.

Here is a list of the seven part-time drivers who are set to compete in the Grand Prix of Portland at Portland International Raceway this Sunday afternoon.

NOTE: The one part-time car without a confirmed driver for the race is also featured on this list.
