Scuderia Corsa, which made their IndyCar debut in this year’s Indy 500, are set to form a partnership with Ed Carpenter Racing for the 2019 IndyCar season.

As previously speculated, IMSA SportsCar Championship team Scuderia Corsa, which made their IndyCar debut in this year’s Indianapolis 500, are set to join IndyCar on a full-time basis via a partnership with Ed Carpenter Racing in the 2019 season.

Scuderia Corsa fielded the #64 Honda, which was driven by veteran Oriol Servia, in this year’s Indy 500 via a partnership with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. They have been laying the groundwork to join IndyCar full-time for quite some time, and they committed to returning to next year’s Indy 500 shortly after this year’s Indy 500 concluded.

This new partnership with Ed Carpenter Racing is set to result in Ed Jones, who has driven in IndyCar in each of the last two seasons, replacing Jordan King, who just announced his departure from Ed Carpenter Racing, behind the wheel of the #20 Chevrolet in the road and street course races.

Here is what Jones had to say about getting the opportunity to drive for Ed Carpenter Racing via a partnership with Scuderia Corsa for the 2019 season, according to RACER.
