Juncos Racing have not yet confirmed their driver lineup for the 2019 IndyCar season, making them the only committed team with unrevealed plans.

Juncos Racing made their IndyCar debut in the 2017 Indianapolis 500 when they fielded two cars. Spencer Pigot drove the #11 Chevrolet for the team while Sebastian Saavedra drove the #17 Chevrolet. This race was the only race in which the team competed in the 2017 season.

Juncos Racing increased their commitment in IndyCar in the 2018 season, as they fielded one car in 12 of the 17 races on the schedule. That said, there were no races in which they fielded more than one car like they did in the 2017 Indianapolis 500.

A total of three drivers combined to driver in these 12 races for Juncos Racing over the course of the 2018 season, and they all drove the #32 Chevrolet.

More from IndyCar

Rene Binder drove in the most races for the team last season, as he competed in six of them, while Kyle Kaiser competed in four of them and Alfonso Celis Jr. competed in two of them. Coming into the 2018 season, none of these three drivers had ever previously competed in an IndyCar race.

However, the team’s plans for the 2019 season have still not yet been confirmed. In fact, not much is known about the team’s car situation or the team’s driver situation with just over six weeks to go until the season is scheduled to get underway on Sunday, March 10 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.

As a result, Juncos Racing are the only committed full-time or part-time team that have not revealed their plans for the 2019 season at this point.

Before the 2018 season ended, it was revealed that Juncos Racing’s goal was to field two cars in the 2019 season. However, it was not revealed if the team expected to field both of these cars in all 17 of the season’s races, and it was not revealed if the team expected to have one or two full-time drivers for these two cars or several part-time drivers for one or both of them.

Roughly five months later, we know as much now as we did then. But that should change in the very near future.
