NASCAR: 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race starting lineup

The starting lineup for the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race is set. A total of 19 drivers are set to compete in this race.

Following this evening’s Monster Energy Open at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the 19-driver starting lineup for tonight’s Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race at the track has been set.

A total of 15 drivers entered today having already qualified for this 85-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Charlotte Motor Speedway oval in Concord, North Carolina, as they met at least one of three requirements to lock themselves into the field without participating in what ended up being the 62-lap Monster Energy Open at the track.

Stewart-Haas Racing’s Clint Bowyer took the pole position for the All-Star Race and is set to start alongside Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch in second place on the front row.

Additionally, four more drivers qualified for the All-Star Race, with three doing so as a result of the Monster Energy Open and one doing so as a result of the All-Star Fan Vote.

By winning stage one of the Open, Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron secured himself a position in the All-Star Race. He is set to start this race in 16th place in his #24 Chevrolet.

By winning stage two of the Open, Richard Petty Motorsports’ Darrell Wallace Jr. secured himself a position in the All-Star Race. He is set to start this race in 17th place in his #43 Chevrolet.

Finally, by winning stage three of the Open, Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kyle Larson secured himself a position in the All-Star Race. He is set to start this race in 18th place in his #42 Chevrolet.

Additionally, Hendrick Motorsports’ Alex Bowman won the All-Star Fan Vote. As a result, he secured himself a position in the All-Star Race as well, and he is set to start this race in 19th place in his #88 Chevrolet.
