The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is set to feature 23 drivers, which is tied for the sixth highest driver total in a race in the 2019 IndyCar season.

The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course marks the end of a three-week stint of IndyCar races, and it is scheduled to take place this Sunday, July 28. A total of 23 drivers are set to compete in this race, which is the 13th of 17 races on the 2019 schedule.

With 23 drivers set to compete in this 90-lap race around the 13-turn, 2.258-mile (3.634-kilometer) Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course natural terrain road course in Lexington, Ohio, the driver total on the entry list for this race is tied for the sixth highest of the season.

Only the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway featured more than 24 drivers, as it featured the traditional field of 33 drivers. The races on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, at Circuit of the Americas, at Barber Motorsports Park and at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course featured 24 drivers.

Of the 23 drivers who are set to compete in this race, 19 are full-time drivers who have competed in each of the season’s first 12 races while the other four are part-time drivers.

Ed Carpenter Racing Scuderia Corsa’s Ed Jones and Carlin’s Max Chilton are both road course race-only drivers, and they are set to compete in this race. Jones has competed in 10 races so far this season while Chilton has competed in nine, as Jones competed in the Indy 500 while Chilton failed to qualify for this race before dropping oval races from his schedule.

Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey has competed in seven races so far this season. RC Enerson, meanwhile, is set to drive for Carlin after having not competed in an IndyCar race since the 2016 season.
