The NASCAR Cup Series is set to contest its second race at Bristol Motor Speedway of the 36-race 2019 season this Saturday, August 17. This race, the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race, is the 24th race on the schedule, and a total of 39 drivers are set to compete in it.

Three tracks have already hosted two races this season while nine are still on the schedule to do so following this race. Daytona International Speedway, Pocono Raceway and Michigan International Speedway have already done so.

The first race of the season at Bristol Motor Speedway took place in early April, at which time the Cup Series had only visited Daytona International Speedway out of these three tracks this year.

Bristol Motor Speedway is the final track to feature two races in the regular season. The other nine make up nine of the 10 playoff venues. The two races to close out the 26-race regular season at Darlington Raceway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway are the only races at those respective tracks this year.

The only track on the playoff schedule that is only on the entire schedule once is Homestead-Miami Speedway, the host of the season finale.
