Confirming previous speculation, Go Fas Racing have formed a technical alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing for the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season.

In August, a rumor emerged that Stewart-Haas Racing would be looking to jettison some of their cars for next year with the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season being the final season before the planned introduction of the chassis and body and the team expecting to have extra inventory.

This rumor linked the four-car team to a possible technical alliance with Go Fas Racing, which currently field the #32 Ford.

Now that technical alliance has been confirmed.

This technical alliance will result in Stewart-Haas Racing providing Go Fas Racing with chassis, data and technical support for their #32 Ford in addition to the one-car team’s current relationship with Ford Performance and Roush Yates Engines.

Here is what Go Fas Racing team owner Archie St. Hilaire had to say about this new technical alliance, according to NASCAR.

"“2020 will be an exciting year at GFR with the addition of SHR cars and their technical assistance. I can’t thank all of the great people at SHR for the opportunity to align with them. All of this couldn’t happen without the help of our wonderful sponsors and marketing partners. GFR has improved every year in our six years in the NASCAR Cup Series and I believe that the best is yet to come for this little team and our great group of employees.”"

Here is what Stewart-Haas Racing vice president of competition Greg Zipadelli had to say about this new technical alliance.

"“This arrangement will allow Go Fas Racing to improve its performance in 2020 and position itself for future growth.”"

Neither team confirmed any drivers along with this announcement. Corey LaJoie currently drives the #32 Ford for Go Fas Racing and Daniel Suarez is the only one of the four active Stewart-Haas Racing drivers who has not been confirmed for next year. He drives the #41 Ford.

There are ongoing rumors that the top-tier Stewart-Haas Racing team will promote Xfinity Series superstar Cole Custer to the Cup Series next year, and an alliance with Go Fas Racing was rumored as the most likely doorway for that to happen.

With that being said, LaJoie recently stated that he was leaning toward remaining with the team, leaving the door open for numerous driver lineup possibilities as Silly Season continues.
