Greg Biffle will reportedly compete in two NASCAR Truck Series races for Kyle Busch Motorsports at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway.

Greg Biffle is reportedly set to return to the NASCAR Truck Series for the two races at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway in May and June, respectively. He is set to drive for Kyle Busch Motorsports, likely behind the wheel of the #51 Toyota.

Biffle previously teased that he would return to the Truck Series this year. After NASCAR announced a change to the rules for the Triple Truck Challenge, Biffle celebrated the news, further fueling speculation that he would return.

Biffle won the 2000 Truck Series championship, but until last year, he had not competed at NASCAR’s third highest level since the 2004 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Last year, Biffle practiced the #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota during the first Truck Series race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway in March.

Then he drove the #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota in the June race at the same venue. He started in sixth place and went on to win, notching his 17th career Truck Series victory.

This year, Biffle is expected to compete in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday, May 15 and the SpeedyCash.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, June 6.

In his NASCAR career, Biffle has earned two wins at Charlotte Motor Speedway, both in the Xfinity Series, where he made 17 starts at the track. He has yet to compete there in the Truck Series and never won there in 28 Cup Series starts.

As for the race at Texas Motor Speedway, the #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports entry should be favored to win both Truck Series races there once again this season. Team owner Kyle Busch is set to drive the truck in the first race there on Friday, March 27. He won that race last season.

In addition to winning there in June last year, Biffle also won at the track in the Truck Series in 2000. In six career Truck Series starts there, he has recorded two wins, four top five finishes and four top 10 finishes. His average finish there is 9.00 despite two DNFs.

Nevertheless, he has led laps in five of his six Truck Series races at the venue. If he ends his race in victory lane again, it will not be a big surprise.

With the addition of Biffle to their driver lineup, Kyle Busch Motorsports have filled their lineup for the #51 Toyota in 22 of the 23 Truck Series races this season. While the team have not yet announced a specific schedule for Chandler Smith, could they hire Biffle to run the one remaining race, at whichever track it may be?

Biffle isn’t content with only competing in two Truck Series races this season, however. Stewart-Haas Racing Cup Series star Kevin Harvick and Camping World chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis offered a bounty for any Cup Series driver who beats Busch in his four remaining scheduled Truck Series races this season, and Biffle wants a shot as well.

Will Greg Biffle win one or both of his NASCAR Truck Series races this season? Will he compete in more than two races?

In the meantime, Kyle Busch is set to pilot the #51 Kyle Busch Motorsports Toyota in the next three and four of the next eight Truck Series races. Busch and the other Truck Series drivers are slated to compete next at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Georgia 200, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14. Fox Sports 1 is set to broadcast the race live beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET.
