NASCAR: 2021 Texas All-Star Race – Complete starting lineup

With the NASCAR All-Star Open in the books, here is the entire starting lineup for the 2021 All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Three more drivers locked themselves into this evening’s NASCAR All-Star Race at Texas Motor Speedway by winning one of the three rounds of the All-Star Open.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Ross Chastain won the first 20-lap round of this 50-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Fort Worth, Texas before Richard Childress Racing’s Tyler Reddick won the second. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Aric Almirola then won the 10-lap final round.

A fourth driver, Wood Brothers Racing’s Matt DiBenedetto, locked up the final open spot in the All-Star Race by securing the win in the Fan Vote.

As a result, a total of 21 drivers are set to compete in this six-round, 100-lap race for $1,000,000.

The ins and outs of what is a bizarre All-Star Race format can be found here. The starting lineup among the 17-drivers who entered the weekend already locked into the race based on this year’s qualifying criteria was set based on a random draw.

Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson drew the pole position to start alongside Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch in second place on the front row. Due to the results of the All-Star Open and the Fan Vote, Chastain is set to start in 18th, Reddick is set to start in 19th, Almirola is set to start in 20th and DiBenedetto is set to start in 21st.
