The full starting lineup for the 106th running of the Indy 500 is set following Sunday’s two qualifying sessions at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Sunday’s Top 12 Qualifying and Firestone Fast Six qualifying sessions solidified the starting lineup for the 106th running of the Indy 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The fastest 12 drivers from Saturday’s session (full results here) advanced to the Top 12 Qualifying session on Sunday afternoon, where they each made another four-lap qualifying attempt around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) oval in Speedway, Indiana (full results here).

The fastest six drivers from this session then advanced to the Firestone Fast Six, where they each made one more four-lap qualifying attempt to battle for the pole position.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon took the pole position with a four-lap average speed of 234.046 miles per hour behind the wheel of his #9 Honda, the fastest four-lap Indy 500 qualifying run ever. He is set to be joined on the front row by teammate Alex Palou in second place and Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay in third.

As for the 21 drivers who did not finish inside the top 12 on Saturday, they locked into their respective starting positions from 13th to 33rd place.

They all had the opportunity to complete at least one four-lap qualifying attempt, though DragonSpeed/Cusick Motorsports’ Stefan Wilson did not do so as a result of a mechanical issue. With only 33 drivers on the entry list, he is still set to start the race in 33rd place behind the wheel of the #25 Chevrolet.
