Dystany Spurlock's NASCAR debut was put on hold back in May, after she failed to qualify for the Craftsman Truck Series race at Watkins Glen International.
But she was able to compete in the following weekend's race at Dover Motor Speedway, although her race ended early in a crash.
For the first time in nearly three months, she is set to return for her second start in this Friday night's race at Richmond Raceway. But she will not be back behind the wheel of the No. 69 MBM Motorsports Ford she drove at Dover.
New truck confirmed for Dystany Spurlock at Richmond
In a partnership with MBM Motorsports, the 34-year-old Richmond, Virginia, native is set to drive the No. 2 Ford for Team Reaume at her home race track.
She is set to become the eighth different individual to drive the No. 2 Ford this year, with the most recent being Jackson Macenko, who made his series debut at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park three weekends ago.
Luke Baldwin leads all drivers with five appearances in the entry, and he is set to drive it in the next three races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, and Kansas Speedway after this weekend.
As for the No. 69 Ford, it is not entered this weekend. That entry was penalized at Indianapolis even after Jonathan Shafer failed to qualify for the race, and after eight appearances (three starts) this year, it finds itself with negative-14 points in the owner standings following the 25-point Indy penalty.
Beyond this weekend, Spurlock does not have any further starts confirmed for the 2026 season, and there are currently no plans for the No. 69 entry to return. However, there are still three races for which the No. 2 Ford is in need of a driver, those being the three October playoff races at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Phoenix Raceway, and Talladega Superspeedway.
Aside from Baldwin, the only confirmed driver of the No. 2 entry for the rest of the 2026 season is Clayton Green, who drove it four times earlier this year and is set to run the season's final two races at Martinsville Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
