Race number 16 of 26 on the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series regular season schedule is the Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway. Pocono used to host two races per season, but that changed after 2021.
Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin, who is riding a two-race winning streak and is as close as he's been to points leader Tyler Reddick in the standings since the start of the season, took the pole position for Sunday's 160-lap race around the three-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) "Tricky Triangle" oval in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.
Hamlin, a seven-time winner at Pocono, has won back-to-back races after having been sent from the pole position to the rear of the field at the start on both occasions. Sundaty's full starting lineup was determined by Saturday's single-car qualifying session.
