Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden topped the speed chart in the second and final practice session for the 11th race of the 17-race 2018 IndyCar season, the Iowa Corn 300. He topped the speed chart in both practice sessions for that race.
Newgarden topped the speed chart in the second practice session for the Iowa Corn 300 by recording a top lap speed of 176.772 miles per hour (18.2065 seconds) around the four-turn, 0.894-mile (1.439-kilometer) Iowa Speedway oval in Newton, Iowa in his #1 Chevrolet.
Newgarden is set to start the Iowa Corn 300 on the outside of the front row tomorrow afternoon along side teammate Will Power in his #12 Chevrolet. You can see full qualifying results for the race here.

Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi was the highest finishing Chevrolet driver in the practice session. He finished in second place in his #27 Honda. Ryan Hunter-Reay finished in third in his #28 Andretti Autosport Honda.
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon was the highest finishing non-Andretti Autosport Honda driver in the practice session. He finished in fourth place in his #9 Honda. Power finished in fifth. A.J. Foyt Enterprises’ Tony Kanaan was the highest finishing non-Team Penske Chevrolet driver in the practice session. He finished in ninth place in his #14 Chevrolet.
