Kyle Kaiser is set to drive for Juncos Racing in the second race of the 2019 IndyCar season, the IndyCar Classic, at Circuit of the Americas.

Following the confirmation that Max Chilton is set to drive full-time for Carlin in the 2019 IndyCar season and that Charlie Kimball is set to drive part-time for the team this year, Juncos Racing were the only committed team that had not yet revealed any of their plans for this season.

The first of these plans was revealed Monday, as they confirmed that Kyle Kaiser is set to drive for the team in the second race of the 17-race 2019 season, the IndyCar Classic, at Circuit of the Americas.

Kaiser is set to drive the #32 Chevrolet in this race at the 20-turn, 3.427-mile (5.515-kilometer) Circuit of the Americas road course in Austin, Texas. The #32 Chevrolet is set to be sponsored by insurance broker NFP, which extended their partnership with Juncos Racing for this race.

This season’s race at Circuit of the Americas is set to be the first IndyCar race at the relatively new track, which opened in the year 2012. As such, the 2017 Indy Lights champion has never driven in a race at the track.

The 22-year-old Santa Clara, California native is one of the three drivers who drove for the team throughout the course of the 17-race 2018 season, which was their first season as more than an Indianapolis 500-only team. The team fielded the #32 Chevrolet in 12 of the season’s 17 races, and Kaiser drove it in four of them.

The four races in which Kaiser competed last season were the race at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona, the race on the streets of Long Beach, California, the race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course and the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval. He finished two of these four races and recorded an average finish of 21.3 with a top finish of 16th place in the race on the streets of Long Beach.

Kaiser drove for Juncos Racing for four seasons prior to the 2018 IndyCar season as well. He drove for the team in the 2014 Pro Mazda Championship season before driving for them in his three Indy Lights seasons from 2015 through 2017.

Here is what Kaiser had to say about the opportunity to drive for Juncos Racing in the inaugural IndyCar Classic at Circuit of the Americas, according to RACER.

"“I am excited to be back in an IndyCar for the 2019 season with Juncos Racing at COTA. I’m thrilled to have NFP partner with us for this incredible race. I was privileged to get to represent NFP in the Indy 500 last year and had the chance to get to know many of the world-class people working there. Their ambition in the business world is a perfect fit for Juncos’ ambition and drive in racing. I’m looking forward to providing NFP and their guests with an invaluable experience at one of the most prestigious racetracks in North America.”"

Here is what Juncos Racing team owner Ricardo Juncos had to say about the matter, according to RACER.

"“We are excited and humbled to continue our partnership with a prestigious and passionate business like NFP. Last year we had the privilege to create a relationship with NFP, and since May have continued to build and explore opportunities among our motorsport programs. The partnership is an excellent opportunity to expose our team, NFP’s partners, employees, and producers, and the NTT IndyCar Series to a wider audience.”"
