A total of 23 drivers are set to compete in the 2019 IndyCar season’s 10th race, the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America.

After three consecutive IndyCar races during which a season-low 22 drivers competed, a total of 23 drivers are set to compete in the 17-race season’s 10th race, the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America.

The driver total of 23 for this 55-lap race around the 14-turn, 4.048-mile (6.515-kilometer) Road America natural terrain road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin is tied for the sixth highest driver total of the season. A total of 23 drivers also compete in the race on the streets of Long Beach, California back in mid-April.

Of the 23 drivers who are set to compete in this race, 19 are full-time drivers who have competed in each of the season’s first nine races and five are part-time drivers.

Of the four part-time drivers who are set to compete in this race, one, Carlin’s Max Chilton, began the season as a full-time driver. However, he is now a road and street course race-only driver and has competed in seven of the season’s first nine races. He did attempt to qualify for the Indy 500, but he failed to do so.

Ed Carpenter Racing Scuderia Corsa’s Ed Jones is also set to compete in this race, and he, like Chilton, is a road and street course race-only driver, although he did compete in the Indy 500. As a result, he has competed in eight of the season’s first nine races.

The other two part-time drivers who are set to compete in this race are Carlin rookie Patricio O’Ward and Meyer Shank Racing’s Jack Harvey. They have both competed in six races so far this season. DragonSpeed’s Ben Hanley was scheduled to make his fourth start of the season in this race, but he is not on the entry list for it.
