The full starting lineup for the 105th running of the Indy 500 is set following IndyCar’s weekend of qualifying at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Following a weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway that saw three qualifying sessions, including one yesterday with all 35 IndyCar drivers on the entry list for the 105th running of the Indy 500, another one today to set the 11th and final row of the starting lineup for the race and another one to set the first three rows, the lineup is completely set.

After yesterday afternoon’s qualifying session, 21 drivers locked themselves into their positions from the fourth through the 10th rows (10th through 30th place) in the starting lineup for this 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) oval in Speedway, Indiana.

In this afternoon’s Bump Day qualifying session, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing’s Sage Karam, Team Penske’s Will Power and Paretta Autosport’s Simona de Silvestro qualified for the race on the 11th and final row in 31st, 32nd and 33rd place behind the wheels of their #24 Chevrolet, #12 Chevrolet and #16 Chevrolet, respectively.

But A.J. Foyt Enterprises’ Charlie Kimball and Top Gun Racing rookie RC Enerson failed to qualify, leaving the #11 Chevrolet and the #75 Chevrolet out of the race. This marked the first time that anybody failed to qualify for the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” since three of the 36 drivers who attempted to qualify for the race in 2019 were left on the outside looking in.

Dixon is set to be joined on the front row by Andretti Autosport’s Colton Herta in second place behind the wheel of his #26 Honda and Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus VeeKay in third behind the wheel of his #21 Chevrolet.
